Building upon its existing Callan Ridge campus in Torrey Pines, Healthpeak Properties called on the engineering expertise of Jackson & Blanc to design and construct the mechanical and plumbing core, as well as the shell systems in their new 185,000-square-foot facility. Catering to the booming life sciences industry, the Jackson & Blanc team delivered cutting-edge building system solutions within the project budget of $6 million, including a water-cooled chiller plant, VRF systems, heating hot water systems, building automation, lab support infrastructure, and recycled water irrigation and low-flow plumbing infrastructure to support future tenant development and reduce water consumption. The building is on track to be complete in late 2022 and is expected to be LEED Gold certified.
