Jackson & Blanc was selected to be part of Swinerton Builders team to construct a new 11,000 square foot warehouse addition to Sempra Energy’s existing 50,000 square foot data center facility located in the San Diego community of Rancho Bernardo.
The main mechanical scope of the project was to add a new state of the art 600-ton air-cooled chiller plant and a new main chilled water piping loop constructed using high-density polyethylene piping to serve the existing air handlers at the facility. The entire warehouse addition, chilled water plant and piping loop was constructed, tested and commissioned without affecting the on-going day to day operations of the data center.
