U.S. Navy
Contract Amount
$12 Million
Partnering with award-winning architecture and engineering firm AECOM, Jackson & Blanc served as the prime contractor providing design assist, HVAC services and other energy saving upgrades to various buildings within the Navy Fleet Readiness Center complex in Coronado, Calif. Our firm has a strong history of servicing various Navy facilities, and this project was a continuation of that relationship. The project included installation of new high-efficiency chillers, low-usage water treatment systems, variable speed air handlers converted from DX to chilled water, new high-efficiency HHW boilers, variable speed pumping, and localized high-efficiency compressed air systems at 13 different industrial buildings within the Fleet Readiness Center complex. The $12 million project required a high level of coordination and scheduling for each phase of the project to ensure all facilities within the complex remained fully operational and minimized downtown.
